The "Nuit des Coteaux" is organised every year on the first Saturday in October. For one evening, Liège unveils its narrow streets, courtyards, stairways, terraces, paths, meadows and orchards, which are exceptionally accessible and subtly illuminated. In the softness of an October evening, you will stroll along marvellous and unusual walks illuminated by more than 22,000 candles and multiple lighting interventions punctuated by numerous musical and theatrical events and open doors. Lovers of heritage, curious visitors, lovers of intimate atmospheres, faithful to the Nocturne or attracted by the formula, each year more and more of you come to enjoy the pleasure of being surprised and discovering the backstage of Liège in complete freedom.

The Coteaux de la Citadelle are also 60 historical monuments and 5 listed sites, witnesses of the ancient landscape of Liege through 28 hectares of extraordinarily well-preserved green spaces in the heart of the city. Five signposted itineraries are available, starting from the Esplanade Saint-Léonard or the Rue Pierreuse behind the Place du Marché, just a stone's throw from the Hôtel Neuvice. Since April 2011, the site has been awarded three stars in the prestigious Michelin guide.
